QED, the innovative and international schools group built on a lifetime of expertise and passion for education, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Mortimer as Director of Education for the group.
Mark Mortimer has spent over 25 years working in the education sector and brings a wealth of experience with him to QED. Previous roles across the span of his career include Head of History and Politics, Head of Sixth Form and Head of three HMC schools in England and Scotland. His time in the education sector has also seen him work as an ISI inspector, sit as a board member on the Scottish Council for Independent Schools and spend ten years on the HMC Professional Development Committee.
Outside of the world of education, Mark has twice rowed across the Atlantic, completed the Marathon des Sables and cycled through the Arctic Circle.
